What is the “Chain of Survival”?

In Sudden Cardiac Arrest the approach would be to follow the Chain of Survival!

The chain of survival refers to a series of actions that, properly executed, reduce the mortality associated with cardiac arrest. Like any chain, the chain of survival is only as strong as its weakest link.

1. Recognizing Cardiac arrest and activation EMS
2. Conducting High-quality CPR starting with Chest compression
3. Call out for an AED and conduct rapid defibrillation or electrical shock to the heart
4. Advance EMS care and transport
5. Effective Post Cardiac Arrest care at the hospital

Each Link is essential to the person’s survival, if any of the links are missing or weak it can greatly reduce survival chances.
Taking your CPR certification class with CPR with JR, join a class in any of her locations in Springhill Fl or New Port Richey Fl will give you everything you need to learn the CPR skills and the Chain of Survival to respond to an emergency in the first few minutes before EMS arrive.

I had the BEST instructors today while taking my BLS training! Alex and Darian made the class super interactive and were incredibly knowledgeable about what they were teaching. This is the only CPR class I have ever taken where I feel completely confident in the skills I acquired.

The class was fun, engaging, and paced in a way that made it easy to understand and retain the information being taught. The lead instructor was extremely hands-on and made sure every student had plenty of opportunities to practice. No questions were left unanswered.

I had such a great experience and will only be taking future classes with these two instructors. I will definitely be referring everyone I know to them. Thank you both for making this such an enjoyable and valuable learning experience!

Excellent class! We highly recommend learning these life saving skills. Instructors were knowledgeable and clear on all aspects with time for questions. We were able to do hands on training with the dummies and AED machines. They also included instructions if someone is choking.
